Who we are

We are here to help every person feel at home

Kintera Care supports people to live the life they choose, in their own home, connected to a community that knows them.

Our promise

How we are built

Most organisations put the person receiving support at the bottom of the chart. We turned it upside down. Members are at the top, and every layer of Kintera Care exists to serve them.

What that means day to day: you are known by name by a small team who are always there, inside a village community close enough that the whole village can look out for anyone in it.

Member story, Kintera Care

Mahasin holding her Australian citizenship certificate and small flags, dressed in blue at her ceremony.

Forty-six years after migrating from Malaysia, Mahasin became an Australian citizen. It's a milestone she worked so hard for, and she celebrated it surrounded by her family, proudly dressed in blue as a true blue Aussie. Her support worker Thipmanee, known as Manee, walked alongside her through the whole journey, every step of the way.

Manee, thank you for your genuine kindness and for always going the extra mile. Mum truly feels your warmth every day.

We only publish stories members and their families have agreed to share.

The name

Kin. Land.
Home.

Kintera joins two old words

Kin: your people, the ones who know you best. Terra: land, ground, a place of your own. The mapping is exact. Kin is the family, a small team of five to seven support workers anchored to just two or three members. Terra is the village, the ground under it all, always there. Home is the member’s own front door.

The name is not decoration on the model. It is the model.

What we value

Four things we will not trade away

Values are easy to print on a wall. These are the four we are happy to be held to, and here is what each one looks like on an ordinary Tuesday.

  • A member and their support worker having a coffee together on the balcony at home.
    Accountability

You should never have to chase us.

We say what we will do, we do it, and if we get it wrong we tell you before you have to ask. No shifting blame, no waiting on hold, no version of the story that only makes us look good.

  • The Charles Street Liverpool Vertical Village apartment building from the street.
    Innovation

“That is just how it is done” is not an answer.

Vertical Villages exist because the old model asked members to fit the service. We keep asking what would actually make someone’s day better, then we go and build it.

  • A member and their support worker walking together along the beach.
    Passion

This work is personal to us.

A first meal cooked alone, a first bus ride, a citizenship certificate held up for a photo. We are in those moments with our members, and we show up like they matter, because they do.

  • A member’s own bedroom in their apartment, set up the way they like it.
    Trust

Nothing good happens until someone feels safe.

Trust is built in the small things: the same faces each week, being listened to properly, having your own front door and your own key. Everything else we do sits on top of that.

The people behind it

Kintera Care is a registered NDIS provider led by a small management team and supported by allied health clinicians, village based support workers and an intake team you can call on 1300 405 260. Support workers are matched to each member and work to that member’s own plan and Roster of Care, with clinical oversight and after hours escalation behind them.

CARED

Our allied health partner

We work with CARED for all NDIS allied health needs, including occupational therapy, physiotherapy, speech pathology, psychology and behaviour support. If a member needs allied health alongside their home or their supports, we can point them CARED’s way.
